ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,329,967, issued on June 17, was assigned to Duke University (Durham, N.C.).

"State-dependent peripheral neuromodulation to treat bladder dysfunction" was invented by Warren M. Grill (Chapel Hill, N.C.), James A. Hokanson (Morrisville, N.C.) and Christopher L. Langdale (Apex, N.C.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a neuromodulation apparatus and methods of using the neuromodulation apparatus for treating bladder dysfunction."

The patent was filed on March 1, 2023, under Application No. 18/115,905.
