US Patent Issued to DSM IP ASSETS on March 25 for "Dehydrogenation process" (Swiss Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,258,311, issued on March 25, was assigned to DSM IP ASSETS B.V. (Heerlen, Netherlands).

"Dehydrogenation process" was invented by Werner Bonrath (Kaiseraugst, Switzerland), Marc-Andre Mueller (Kaiseraugst, Switzerland), Bettina Wuestenberg (Kaiseraugst, Switzerland) and Viktor Zimmermann (Kaiseraugst, Switzerland).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a new compound and the dehydrogenation of that compound to produce retinal."

The patent was filed on Dec. 15, 2020, under Application No. 17/788,237.
