ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,488,036, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to Dropbox Inc. (San Francisco).

"Automatically generating a summary of objects being shared" was invented by Xintong Liu (Sunnyvale, Calif.), Hao Li (San Mateo, Calif.) and Salvador Martinez (Yukon, Okla.).

Sharing messages are generally limited to a brief statement indicating that a user account has shared the object(s).
