ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. PP36,756, issued on June 24, was assigned to Driscoll's Inc. (Watsonville, Calif.).
"Strawberry plant named 'DrisStrawOneHundredTen'" was invented by Philip J. Stewart (Royal Oaks, Calif.), Iana Kostina (Prunedale, Calif.), Debora Liabeuf (Watsonville, Calif.) and Amy M. Edmondson (Royal Oaks, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct variety of strawberry plant named 'DrisStrawOneHundredTen', particularly selected for its open plant habit, large fruit, sustained production, and fruit quality, is disclosed."
The patent was filed on Dec. 6, 2024, under Application No. 18/972,659.
