ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,420,534, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to Dow Silicones Corp. (Midland, Mich.).

"Aerogel polysiloxane layer laminate structure" was invented by Bizhong Zhu (Midland, Mich.), Chi-Hao Chang (Midland, Mich.), Kaila Mattson (Midland, Mich.), Craig Gross (Midland, Mich.), Joseph Sootsman (Auburn, Mich.) and Greg Becker (Auburn, Mich.).
