ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,312,445, issued on May 27, was assigned to Dow Global Technologies LLC (Midland, Mich.) and Dow Silicones Corp. (Midland, Mich.).
"Branched organosilanol compounds and methods for the preparation and use thereof" was invented by Eric Joffre (Midland, Mich.), Xiaoyuan Zhou (Midland, Mich.) and John Roberts (Midland, Mich.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A branched organosilanol compound and method for its preparation are provided. The branched organosilanol compound may be used as a starting material in a method for preparing a functionalized polymer."
