ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,472,146, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to Douglas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (Lincoln, New Zealand).
"Extended release pharmaceutical formulation" was invented by Paul William Glue (Dunedin, New Zealand), Natalie June Medlicott (Dunedin, New Zealand) and Peter William Surman (Auckland, New Zealand).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosure provides an oral extended release formulation for the treatment of treatment-resistant depression and treatment-resistant anxiety."
The patent was filed on Aug. 9, 2022, under Application No. 17/883,902.
