ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,365,271, issued on July 22, was assigned to Dorel Juvenile Group Inc. (Foxboro, Mass.).
"Juvenile seat" was invented by Said S. Nakhla (Daphne, Ala.) and Paul Powers (Grafton, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A juvenile seat includes a seat chassis having a seat-bottom base, a seat-back base, and a body frame. The seat-bottom base is adapted to rest on a vehicle seat. The seat-back base is coupled to the seat-bottom base and is arranged to extend upwardly away from the seat-bottom base.
