ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,318,722, issued on June 3, was assigned to Donaldson Co. Inc. (Bloomington, Minn.).
"Porous PTFE membrane" was invented by Anil Suthar (Eden Prairie, Minn.), Richard Brandimarte (Bensalem, Pa.), Robert J. Pannepacker Jr. (Oreland, Pa.) and Stuti S. Rajgarhia (Woodbury, Minn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A porous polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane including a nonwoven web having a microstructure of substantially only microfibrils fused at crossover points, said membrane having a percent balance of orthogonal dimensions that is within 10%."
The patent was filed on Dec. 16, 2019, under Application No. 17/414,908.
