ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,315,521, issued on May 27, was assigned to DOLBY LABORATORIES LICENSING Corp. (San Francisco) and DOLBY INTERNATIONAL AB (Dublin).
"Methods, apparatus and systems for encoding and decoding of directional sound sources" was invented by Nicolas R. Tsingos (San Francisco), Mark R. P. Thomas (Walnut Creek, Calif.) and Christof Fersch (Neumarkt, Germany).
