US Patent Issued to DOLBY INTERNATIONAL on March 11 for "Signaling scalability information in a parameter set" (Washington Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,250,392, issued on March 11, was assigned to DOLBY INTERNATIONAL AB (Dublin).

"Signaling scalability information in a parameter set" was invented by Sachin G. Deshpande (Camas, Wash.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system for decoding a video bitstream includes receiving a frame of the video that includes at least one slice and at least one tile and where each of the at least one slice and the at least one tile are not all aligned with one another."

The patent was filed on May 12, 2023, under Application No. 18/196,850.
