ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,327,566, issued on June 10, was assigned to DOLBY INTERNATIONAL AB (Dublin).

"Advanced stereo coding based on a combination of adaptively selectable left/right or mid/side stereo coding and of parametric stereo coding" was invented by Heiko Purnhagen (Sundyberg, Sweden), Pontus Carlsson (Bromma, Sweden) and Kristofer Kjoerling (Solna, Sweden).
