ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,283,151, issued on April 22, was assigned to DK Crown Holdings Inc. (Boston).

"Electronic gaming machine with potential matching segments in adjacent horizontal frames" was invented by Daniel Sahl (Las Vegas).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A video gaming machine provides partial symbols that match other partial symbols across adjacent horizontal frames. Matches of two melding frames provides absolute payouts, multipliers, bonus events and the like."

The patent was filed on Nov. 28, 2023, under Application No. 18/521,502.
