ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,448,926, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Discovery Energy LLC (Kohler, Wis.).

"Throttle drive actuator for an engine" was invented by Martin L. Radue (Plymouth, Wis.) and William D. Koenigs (Fond du Lac, Wis.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A throttle drive actuator for an engine includes a rotor and a stator. The rotor connects with a valve of a throttle body to rotate the valve, to open a close an air passage of the throttle body of the engine."

The patent was filed on July 11, 2022, under Application No. 17/861,663.
