ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,359,594, issued on July 15, was assigned to Discovery Energy LLC (Kohler, Wis.).
"Convertible silencer" was invented by Joshua Ziebert (Kohler, Wis.) and Billy Brandenburg (Horicon, Wis.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A silencer for noise reduction at an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The silencer comprises an input opening, an output opening, at least one chamber, and at least one partition configured to be inserted into and removed from the at least one chamber to convert the silencer to a collector."
The patent was filed on July 29, 2024, under Application No. 18/787,622.
