ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,225,953, issued on Feb. 18, was assigned to Directa Plus S.p.A. (Lomazzo, Italy).
"Method of treating a textile with graphene and textile so obtained" was invented by Giulio Giuseppe Cesareo (Milan) and Laura Giorgia Rizzi (Saronno, Italy).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Method of treating a textile article by impregnation with a water dispersion of graphene nano-platelets in an impregnation bath comprising also a polymeric binder and an anti-migration and wetting agent. Graphene is fixed in the textile article to improve its thermal and electrical conductivity, as well as its filtering power and germ-blocking properties."
