ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,440,646, issued on Oct. 14, was assigned to DePuy Synthes Products Inc. (Raynham, Mass.).

"Catheter braid wire with variable cross-section shape" was invented by Pedro D. Pedroso (Parkland, Fla.) and Chadwin Hanna Jr. (Gainesville, Fla.).
