ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,309,473, issued on May 20, was assigned to DePuy Synthes Products Inc. (Raynham, Mass.).
"Card edge connector for an imaging sensor" was invented by Jeremiah D. Henley (Fair Oaks, Calif.), Laurent Blanquart (Westlake Village, Calif.) and Brian Dean (Salt Lake City).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosure extends to devices, systems and methods for connecting one or more sensors to one or more printed circuit boards (PCB) in the distal end or tip of a scope. The disclosure also extends to a connector assembly for an image sensor for protecting the sensor and conveying information from the sensor to the PCB."
