ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,318,304, issued on June 3, was assigned to DePuy Synthes Products Inc. (Raynham, Mass.).

"Lateral spondylolisthesis reduction cage" was invented by Michael J. O'Neil (West Barnstable, Mass.), Hassan Serhan (South Easton, Mass.), Douglas Raymond (Bridgewater, Mass.) and John Riley Hawkins (Cumberland, R.I.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An intervertebral fusion device comprising inferior and superior fusion cage devices that provide an ability to correct spondylolisthesis via in-situ adjustment."

The patent was filed on Sept. 21, 2021, under Application No. 17/480,193.
