ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,349,936, issued on July 8, was assigned to DePuy Synthes Products Inc. (Raynham, Mass.).

"Patient-mounted retraction" was invented by Ralph C. Solitario Jr. (Pocasset, Mass.), Brian R. Bankoski (West Grove, Pa.), Mark Rossney (Downingtown, Pa.), Santiago Figuereo (Miami Beach, Fla.) and Robert Bohinski (Cincinnati).
