ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,383,118, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to DePuy Synthes Products Inc. (Raynham, Mass.).

"Comprehensive fixed pattern noise cancellation" was invented by Laurent Blanquart (Westlake Village, Calif.) and John Richardson (Calabasas, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosure extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for producing an image in light deficient environments having cancelled fixed pattern noise."

The patent was filed on Aug. 11, 2022, under Application No. 17/819,276.
