"Pedal device" was invented by Atsushi Nishimura (Kariya, Japan), Etsugo Yanagida (Kariya, Japan), Yuki Matsunaga (Kariya, Japan) and Daisuke Hokuto (Kariya, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A pedal device to be pedaled by a user includes: a pedal supported to be swingable about an axis and to swing toward one side in a circumferential direction about the axis when being pedaled by the user; a housing; a reaction force generation portion disposed in the housing and to apply a force to the pedal toward another side in the circumferential direction; and a stopper. ...
