ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 29 -- United States Patent no. 12,209,398, issued on Jan. 28, was assigned to Delta Faucet Co. (Indianapolis).
"Smart shower sensor" was invented by Bradley E. Boyer (Tipton, Ind.), Joshua Drew Wales (Indianapolis), Nathan Sickler (Westfield, Ind.) and Kyle Robert Davidson (Noblesville, Ind.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A smart shower sensor configured to be fluidly coupled to a showerhead. The smart shower sensor is configured to provide notifications and/or transmit notifications to other smart devices based on, for example, water temperature and/or water usage."
The patent was filed on Oct. 29, 2021, under Application No. 17/514,689.
