ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,268,203, issued on April 8, was assigned to Deloren E. Anderson (Crosby, Minn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An underwater device for subduing underwater invasive species includes a translucent or transparent fixture having a TiO2 coating on at least one side of the fixture and a light source positioned to expose the coating with light having sufficient intensity and selected range of frequencies to activate the photocatalytic TiO2 coated fixture."
