US Patent Issued to Dell Products on Sept. 16 for "High-performance remote file system meta data" (Massachusetts Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,417,211, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to Dell Products LP (Round Rock, Texas).

"High-performance remote file system meta data" was invented by Adrian Michaud (Carlisle, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "File system management is disclosed. File system metadata is stored in local memory of a client. The portion of local memory storing the file system metadata is under control of the metadata server. The construction and management of the metadata stored in the local memory of the client is driven, initiated and managed by the remote metadata server."
