US Patent Issued to Dell Products on July 15 for "Read skew based data theft mitigation" (Massachusetts Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,360,680, issued on July 15, was assigned to Dell Products LP (Round Rock, Texas).

"Read skew based data theft mitigation" was invented by Owen Martin (Hopedale, Mass.) and Arieh Don (Newton, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "One or more aspects of the present disclosure relate to read-skew-based data theft mitigation. In embodiments, an input/output (IO) workload is received at a storage array. Further, access to a logical device can be controlled based on at least one read capacity skew forecast corresponding to the logical device."
