ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,477,990, issued on Nov. 25, was assigned to Deere & Co. (Moline, Ill.).

"Gearbox assembly" was invented by Javier Jose Perez Ramirez (Mannheim, Germany), Daniel Vergara Martinez (Mannheim, Germany) and Thomas Rohlfing (Mannheim, Germany).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A gearbox assembly may include a gearbox housing, a transmission space enclosed by the gearbox housing, a first shaft mounted in the gearbox housing, a cavity formed in the first shaft, and a channel formed in the first shaft which connects the transmission space to the cavity of the first shaft for supplying lubricant. In the cavity, a second shaft may be rotatably mounted....
