ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,536,851, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to Deere & Co. (Moline, Ill.).

"Diagnostic trouble code alert management system" was invented by Jesse A. Braun (Waukee, Iowa) and Graham S. Anderson (Cedar Falls, Iowa).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An alert management system and technique is provided. Substantially any diagnostic trouble code generates an alert regardless of severity. The operator is given an option to dismiss or suppress re-alert for a class of diagnostic trouble codes, such as low severity codes. Future notification of such codes can be disabled in response to a selection of the option provided."
