ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 13 -- United States Patent no. 12,520,757, issued on Jan. 13, was assigned to DEERE & COMPANY (Moline, Ill.).
"Spreader for harvested crop residue" was invented by Piyush Bhirangi (Amravati, India), Dirk Schubert (Matzenbach, Germany) and Martin Rittershofer (Zweibrucken, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A spreader for harvested crop residue is configured to be attached downstream of a straw chopper of a combine harvester and comprises two adjacently arranged throw blowers with paddles which are able to be set in rotation about one respective axis and in opposing directions to one another, as well as a guide arrangement for predetermining the spreading characterist...
