ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,350,281, issued on July 8, was assigned to Dechra Veterinary Products LLC (Overland Park, Kan.).

"Long-acting injectable formulations and use thereof" was invented by Gail L. Dempsey (Greensboro, N.C.), Douglas L. Hepler (Greensboro, N.C.), Dorothea Erxleben (Greensboro, N.C.), Michael S. Daniel (Greensboro, N.C.) and Neil E. Paulsen (Greensboro, N.C.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are long-acting, non-aqueous pharmaceutically acceptable compositions of active ingredients for subcutaneous injection."

The patent was filed on May 20, 2020, under Application No. 16/879,626.
