ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,369,411, issued on July 22, was assigned to DB HiTek Co. Ltd. (Bucheon-si, South Korea).
"Indirect Time-of-Flight (ToF) pixel structure" was invented by Ju Hwan Jung (Seoul, South Korea).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Proposed is an indirect Time-of-Flight (ToF) structure. In the indirect ToF structure, an electric charge storage portion in which electric charge is temporarily stored is provided between a photoelectric conversion portion and a floating diffusion portion, thereby making it possible to perform Correlated Double Sampling (CDS) and to remove noise during readout after an integration time."
