ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,410,461, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to Day Zero Diagnostics Inc. (Watertown, Mass.).
"Method of preparing clinical samples for nucleic acid amplification" was invented by Chiahao Tsui (Somerville, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure is a method of preparing a clinical sample comprising host cells, microbes, proteins and a polyanionic polymer nucleic acid amplification inhibitor."
The patent was filed on Feb. 28, 2020, under Application No. 17/434,293.
