US Patent Issued to DANA (WUXI) TECHNOLOGY on Nov. 4 for "Reduction electrified axle with input parking brake" (Chinese, Belgian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,460,722, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to DANA (WUXI) TECHNOLOGY Co. LTD. (Jiangsu, China).

"Reduction electrified axle with input parking brake" was invented by Filip Van Raepenbusch (Bruges, Belgium), Yang Liu (Wuxi, China) and Chun Zhang (Wuxi, China).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electrified drivetrain may include a motor, a speed reduction gearbox driven by the motor, and a parking brake coupled to a low-speed portion of the speed reduction gearbox through a shaft that is parallel to a rotor of the motor."

The patent was filed on Feb. 13, 2024, under Application No. 18/440,836.
