ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,465,531, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to Daio Paper Corp. (Ehime, Japan).
"Underpants-type disposable wearing article" was invented by Akane Sasaki (Tochigi, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A dorsal side barrier is configured so as to stand up unintentionally when a diaper is used. This problem is solved by an underpants-type disposable diaper characterized by being provided with the dorsal side barrier which is unfolded so as to spread in a natural length state and which is turned up automatically when the diaper is stretched."
The patent was filed on Jan. 14, 2022, under Application No. 18/265,130.
