According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A sliding member of the present invention includes a resin overlay layer containing an additive, in which the additive contains an oleophobic resin made of a fluorine resin and/or a silicon resin, and an appropriate amount of the oleophobic resin is uniformly dispersed on a sliding surface of the resin overlay layer. According to the sliding member, oil repellency can be imparted to the sliding surface of the resin overlay layer."
