ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,275,958, issued on April 15, was assigned to Dai Nippon Printing Co. Ltd. (Tokyo) and NATIONAL CENTER FOR CHILD HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENT (Tokyo).
"Gut organoid and method for producing the same" was invented by Takuya Okazaki (Tokyo), Akihiro Umezawa (Tokyo), Hidenori Akutsu (Tokyo) and Hajime Uchida (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A gut organoid includes a tissue structure that encloses a cavity. A method of using the gut organoid includes providing a test drug to the gut organoid in the presence of a buffer solution so that liquid comprising the test drug enters into the cavity, and collecting and analyzing the liquid in the cavity....
