ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,487,166, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to CZ Biohub SF LLC (San Francisco) and The Regents of the University of California (Oakland, Calif.).

"Method for label-free imaging and classification of malaria parasites" was invented by Paul Lebel (San Francisco), Rafael Gomez-Sjoberg (San Francisco), Joseph L. DeRisi (San Francisco) and Jenny Folkesson (San Francisco).
