ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,367,651, issued on July 22, was assigned to CURIOXR INC. (Gainesville, Fla.).
"Cheating deterrence in VR education environments" was invented by Ethan Fieldman (Gainesville, Fla.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An anti-cheating method in virtual reality environments includes detecting from outside light entering a virtual reality device when a user is attempting to look outside a virtual reality device during an educational testing activity."
The patent was filed on April 15, 2024, under Application No. 18/635,113.
