ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,442,387, issued on Oct. 14, was assigned to Cummins Ltd (London).
"Compressor impeller" was invented by Oleg Guriev (Huddersfield, Great Britain).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "There is provided a centrifugal impeller for a compressor of a turbocharger. The impeller comprises a hub and a blade. The hub extends along an impeller axis. The blade extends from the hub. The blade defines a pressure surface and a suction surface. The pressure surface comprises a concave portion."
The patent was filed on Oct. 7, 2022, under Application No. 18/699,560.
