ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,233,359, issued on Feb. 25, was assigned to Cummins Filtration IP Inc. (Columbus, Ind.).

"Filter cartridge with valve activation feature" was invented by Priti Vishwas Chavan (Pune, India), Jeff A. Bowerman (Cookeville, Tenn.), Anil Ishwar Sawant (Pune, India), Balasaheb Mahadev Bhittam (Kolhapur, India) and Ismail C. Bagci (Cookeville, Tenn.).
