ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,338,502, issued on June 24, was assigned to CRS HOLDINGS LLC (Wilmington, Del.).

"Ultra-high strength alloy" was invented by Paul M. Novotny (Mohnton, Pa.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A steel alloy having very high strength in combination with good ductility, impact toughness, and fracture toughness is disclosed.
