ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,365,516, issued on July 22, was assigned to Crown Packaging Technology Inc. (Alsip, Ill.).

"Metal container and metal closure thereof" was invented by Matthew Twiss (Wantage, Great Britain) and Benjamin Mattin (Wantage, Great Britain).
