ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,345,400, issued on July 1, was assigned to Crosman Corp. (Bloomfield, N.Y.).

"Deterrent device attachment having light source with thermal management" was invented by Jeffrey D. Tuller (Rochester, N.Y.) and Michael W. Allen (Shortsville, N.Y.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Deterrent device attachments are provided each having a light emitting thermal source positioned by a support board to emit light from within a housing of the deterrent device, with the support board bent to provide surface areas to dissipate heat generated by the light emitter."

The patent was filed on Dec. 28, 2023, under Application No. 18/399,410.
