ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,383,578, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to CreMed AB (Stockholm).
"Carbazate-activated polyvinyl alcohol (PVAC) as a polymer-based antitumoral agent" was invented by David Berglund (New York), Erik Berglund (New York), Felix Sellberg (Uppsala, Sweden) and Robin Frobom (Stockholm).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides a polymer comprising a carbazate-modified polyvinyl alcohol (PVAC) according to Formula I for use in preventing, alleviating, and/or treating cancer, and a method for producing said compound."
