ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 29 -- United States Patent no. 12,209,729, issued on Jan. 28, was assigned to CREE LIGHTING USA LLC (Racine, Wis.).

"LED light fixtures with waveguide edge" was invented by Randall Levy Bernard (Durham, N.C.), Kurt S. Wilcox (Libertyville, Ill.), Kurt Schreib (Wauwatosa, Wis.), Bin Hou (Schaumburg, Ill.), Jeremy Richard Sorenson (Oak Creek, Wis.), Anthony T. Schauf (Franksville, Wis.) and Scott Fisher (Raleigh, N.C.).
