"LED light fixtures with waveguide edge" was invented by Randall Levy Bernard (Durham, N.C.), Kurt S. Wilcox (Libertyville, Ill.), Kurt Schreib (Wauwatosa, Wis.), Bin Hou (Schaumburg, Ill.), Jeremy Richard Sorenson (Oak Creek, Wis.), Anthony T. Schauf (Franksville, Wis.) and Scott Fisher (Raleigh, N.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An optic for a light-emitting diode (LED) array comprises an arrangement of optical structures for providing down lighting distribution from the LED array and a waveguide edge for providing up-lighting distribution from the LED ...
