US Patent Issued to Crank Brothers on April 15 for "Pedal for a bicycle and bicycle including the same" (California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,275,492, issued on April 15, was assigned to Crank Brothers Inc. (Laguna Beach, Calif.).

"Pedal for a bicycle and bicycle including the same" was invented by Frank Hermansen (Laguna Beach, Calif.) and Carl Winefordner (Laguna Beach, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a pedal for a bicycle having a body including at least two components, and a spindle assembly for the connection of the pedal to a crank arm of a bicycle."

The patent was filed on Oct. 26, 2023, under Application No. 18/495,187.
