ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,469,939, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to CPS Technology Holdings LLC (New York).
"Battery terminal" was invented by Michael J. Koop (Bielefeld, Germany), Donald J. Caldwell (Milwaukee), Jason D. Fuhr (Sussex, Wis.) and Jeffrey L. Troxel (Menomonee Falls, Wis.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed is a lead acid battery including a housing having an exterior. The battery also includes a lead terminal extending through the housing to the exterior of the housing. A coating covers the lead terminal such that there is no exposed lead exterior to the housing."
