ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,469,939, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to CPS Technology Holdings LLC (New York).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed is a lead acid battery including a housing having an exterior. The battery also includes a lead terminal extending through the housing to the exterior of the housing. A coating covers the lead terminal such that there is no exposed lead exterior to the housing."
