ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,414,810, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to Covidien LP (Mansfield, Mass.).

"Surgical instruments and methods for performing tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and other surgical procedures" was invented by Craig V. Krastins (Arvada, Colo.), James D. Allen IV (Broomfield, Colo.), Jessica E.C. Olson (Frederick, Colo.), Jason G. Weihe (Longmont, Colo.) and Purvish Soni (Longmont, Colo.).
