ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,544,132, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to Covidien LP (Mansfield, Mass.).
"DC block patient isolator for a microwave generator" was invented by Joseph D. Brannan (Lyons, Colo.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A patient isolator for a microwave generator includes a DC block grounded to a microwave module of the microwave generator, a proximal absorber wrapped around a proximal portion of the DC block, and a distal absorber wrapped around a distal portion of the DC block and separated from the proximal absorber by a gap."
The patent was filed on Sept. 3, 2020, under Application No. 17/765,855.
