ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,366,710, issued on July 22, was assigned to Corning Research & Development Corp. (Corning, N.Y.).

"Fiber optic ferrule and interface for coupling hollow-core and solid-core optical fibers" was invented by Stephan Lvovich Logunov (Corning, N.Y.), Pushkar Tandon (Painted Post, N.Y.) and Qi Wu (Painted Post, N.Y.).
